Arkanoid (NES) codes request

  • Arkanoid (NES) codes request

    I'm played this game and see that it may is most or even too hard for playing and beat. In this way, I please anybody make GG codes for following for that game:

    player always have long pad (dark-blue powerup capsule effect always enabled);
    player's pad always can catch ball (green powerup capsule effect always enabled);
    player always have three balls (light-blue powerup capsule effect always enabled);
    exit door always open (pink powerup capsule effect always enabled);
    player always have lasers (red powerup capsule effect always enabled);
    the ball always move slowly and it never becomes with high speed (orange powerup capsule effect always enabled);
    metal golden blocks can be destroyed by the player's ball and the lasers from the red powerup capsule (normally these blocks can't be destroyed no matter how times you hit them);
    metal silver blocks also drops powerup capsules as normal color blocks (normally they don't);
    you don't die if miss the ball.

    If is possible "the player always have... (powerup)" GameGenie codes can be combined, i. e. you can use more than one of these GG codes enabled when using them.

      The invincibility code drops a lost ball from the top. If there are any levels where there is an entire row of gold bars at the top, you won't be able to advance without the gold bar breakage code.

      With the red power-up code, you will lose the laser ability when you collect the pill a second time. Use the "keep lasers until..." code to fix this.

      With the gold bar breakage code, the level will advance when the remaining blocks equals the amount of initial gold blocks.

        I thanks to @rimsky82 for codes. But I please him to make code for destroying gold blocks. In most levels in the game as Stage 10 and 12, there's rows of these resistant gold metal blocks. The problem is that they stops player's ball or lasers and don't allow easy reaching to other normal blocks that are need to destroyed to finish stage. I thing in such stages "destroy golden blocks" GameGenie code is highly need.

        I see that you already made this code.

          Wow, how the hell did you make the code to destroy the gold blocks? That is some impressive stuff!

            But now I found that @rimski82 Invincibility code don't work - when I put it in the GameGenie encoder/Decoder Tool in FCEUX 2.1.5, the tool don't show any ROM addresses affected in the game. I verify it on Arkanoid (U) [!], on Arkanoid (U) [o1] and Arkanoid (U) [b1] - on all three the player still die when you miss the ball. I please @rimsky82 fix that his code.

              When a block is hit, the first part of a routine checks if its gold. I made it continue instead of branch.

                  I try this code and wish you fix it. I don't like this with finishing level before destroy all color and normal metal blocks (not golden blocks).

                    I've already tried, but there's no easy fix. The amount of blocks needed to advance is read right from the rom, and you'd have to add the number of gold blocks to it. Someone else can try to fix it if they want.

                      Thanks you for codes. But I found one more bug on your current code for breaking golden blocks. In some levels that contains these golden blocks after you destroy all blocks and remain only the floating enemies you don't advance in next stage. I now played with this your code almost whole game, but when I reached on Stage 32, taken out all blocks there (color blocks, metal blocks, golden blocks), the game don't warp me automatically on the next level 33 and I got stuck. That problem also was appeared in two or three of the previous stages, but I was able complete them with exit through door on right side because I was got pink capsule that open it.

                      I have one more request: you can make any similar codes also for Arkanoid II (this game have only Japanese version), but with invincibility to bosses because that game have some stages with bosses similar to the last stage in first Arkanoid game? I'll thanks in advance if you make GG codes also for second Arkanoid II (J) game for NES.

                      Note: I already posted my Arkanoid II request also in "nolberto82 codes" thread and some of them already was made by him.

                        I noticed that, and I believe it's due to bad programming in the game. I may be able to fix it. Until I do, you can fix it with an emulator by changing the value in $000F to 00. Also, I added to the invincibility code to include the final boss.

                            note that these codes listed above are only for the USA version of Arkanoid 1 and will NOT work on the JPN version of Arkanoid 1.

                            I think I came up with some of them but for Arkanoid 1 (J). Here they are listed below:
