  • (NES) Tecmo Bowl Game Genie Code Request

    I am requesting a game genie code for (NES) Tecmo Bowl. I would like the player that I am controlling to run faster than everyone else. I think it would be a cool code for a great, classic game.

    Code:
    [COLOR="Green"]Tecmo Bowl (U) (PRG0) [/COLOR]

    Maximum Acceleration(Only works when going forward not diagonally. It works for running backs and kick returns only)

      Nolberto, this great game genie code you made was never added to the database.

      Could you please make the same code "Maximum Acceleration" for the sequel (NES) Tecmo Super Bowl?

            while using this code, I was able to kickoff and run all the way down field and reach the kick returner before the ball got to him, lol. I tackled the kick returner before he was able to catch the ball and the ball bounced out of the end zone and nobody was able to pickup the ball and the gameplay continued forever, lol. I reset the game and I was trying to see how long I can kick a field goal and after 30 plus tries, I finally made a field from my OWN 47 yard line. Which I didn't think was possible. I thought that I atleast had to be past the 50 yard line to make a successful field goal. This is my favorite football game for the NES. My friends and I used to battle playing this game. It was also one of the first games, if not the first, to beable to save a season/franchise.

            Thanks again for creating this code

              You made a field goal from that far away. In all tecmo bowl games my best is always around the opponents 40 yard line.

                Yep. I didn't think it was possible to kick a longer field goal than that, either. I believe in the original/first (NES) Tecmo Bowl, the longest a field goal can be made is at the opponents 40 yard line. With the sequel, (NES) Tecmo Super Bowl, I thought that the longest field goal could be made was the same or very similiar like the opponents 41 or 42 yard line.

                For (NES) Tecmo Super Bowl, I used save states to keep attempting field goals. I started off by kicking at the opponents 45 yard line, then the opponents 49 yard line. I thought, ok well I guess that is the max. I figured that any attempt from the 50 yard line and beyond would be impossible. Just like in (N64) NFL Blitz. I then attempted field goals at the 50 yard line and made one. So I thought ok, it must be impossible to make any field goal BEYOND the 50 yard line. So I attempted field goals at my OWN 49 yard line and I eventually made one. I made sure the nose of the football was not past my own 49 yard line. I was shocked that I successfully made a field goal from there. So finally, I attempted field goals at my OWN 47 yard line so there would be no doubt that it is well beyond the 50 yard line. I saved the state. And I must have attempted 30 plus field goals with all of them either ending up short or too wide. I was just about to turn the game off when I attempted one last try and I made it! My team I was playing with was the Pittsburgh Steelers incase you were wondering. So I'm still not sure what the furthest possible successful field goal is.

                  Years ago, In "NFL 2K" for Sega Dreamcast, I was playing my friend $20 bucks a game. I was up around $160. I won like 8 straight games. We were playing all day. It was night now, and we were playing the last game for $40 this time instead of $20. He was so determined to beat me. I was losing by exactly 5 points with 3 seconds left in the 4th quarter and I had the ball on my OWN 40 yard line. I was the 49ers and I called a hail mary and Steve Young drops back to pass, I almost get sacked but shake off the tackle and I bomb the ball downfield. Somehow I was able to throw it just past 60 yards. My wide receiver, Jerry Rice, who is a yard or two past the goaline in the endzone, leaps up and grabs the ball out of the air with ONE HAND to score the game winning touchdown. I jumped up and yelled so loud his parents came running downstairs into the basement to see what was going on. As Chunk, from the movie 'Goonies', would say "It was the most amazing thing I ever saw!"
