I could very easily extract all the text from the posts, except that might end up being much more work than sorting out the import method.

This is of no use, but this is what I'm trying to do:

Remove everything except the contents of Retro Hacking (forum #5) from the backup. Then, increment the post and topic IDs so they don't conflict with any possible current data. And then just copy all of that into this phpbb installation... Oh yeah, I'll also need to change all of the forum IDs from 5 to whatever this new version is using. I'm going to take another stab at it now... And I'll at least get it all up online, even if it ends up using gshibb.
