Flashback - The Quest For Identity (U) PAR

      Action Modifier
      7EC73E??

Hidden Music Test Option Appears in Options Screen (Go to the options screen, Turn code on. "Music test:" should appear below the Controller Type option. It may glitch text around it while the code is on, also even though it appears selectable with the code on it actually has no function. You have to turn the code off to properly use the rest of the options menu, main menu, etc as it is a buggy hack. I could not find an actual routine to call the functions associated with it if they still exist.)

      Enable Hidden Japanese Language Option

Both sets of codes are identical. I've added them them to the database.
Hacking games is always fun because you don't know what's hidden in the game.

Actually the first post is for the Power Rangers the Movie and the second for Power Rangers the original. They are also for different regions per sets in both posts. They were added to the database wrong as well. Please read more carefully when submitting codes to the database. Correct when you can.

Nice hacks, Abystus! I looked at these games earlier this year to see if there was a button cheat to access the menus, but all I could find at the time was the Level Select cheats (I took a quick look at the ROM). The button cheat has to be in the ROM somewhere. Is your code a screen modifier? I still have not had any luck with the Sega CD version (it has the same options. I tried finding a screen modifier, but to no avail.).

Thanks. Yes they they were menu modifiers. An emulator with a hex editor should help in your search for menu modifiers for the sega cd version. Just save 2-3 states and watch the values in the hex editor while switching between them. The should be somewhere at the top of memory, however you never know with sega cd full motion video type games. Best of luck to you.
