  • First WTW Code

My first 'walk through walls/solid objects' Game Genie code. :-) Actually, relatively easy to make.

The code is meant to let you get past solid obstacles for exploring. You CAN walk through walls, but there's nothing on the other side of the walls and you just keep falling.

    Fantastic Dizzy (Genesis)

    REPA-A6ZE
Walk through solid obstacles (railing etc). Great for exploring but be warned, you can get stuck in some areas and may have to reset the game. If you try to walk through the walls inside rooms, you'll probably get stuck.

    AKEA-AA7J +
    AKET-AA2A
Take no damage from most enemies.

    SBEA-BL1R
Fruit removes twice as much damage.

My first "Swin through rocks" code. lol. I tried making this code a couple times before, but failed. I'll have to hurry and go write down how I did it before I forget.

    Ecco the Dolphin (Genesis)

    RGJT-J61N
Swim through rocks. The only condition is that the rock surface has to be flat (ie. it won't work on angled surfaces).

Nice codes, Tony! These type of codes are rarely hacked. I know Chemist made a WTW code (along with a swim in air code) for Ecco 2. A little heads-up just in case you were planning to hack it.

You read my mind Hacc. I had already downloaded the Ecco 2 ROM. I didn't see those codes in the data base, but now that you mention it, I kinda remember Chemist making those codes for Ecco 2. Thanks for letting me know... you saved me a lot of time. Hmmm, a swim in air code for Ecco 1... may have to try that one. :-)

Hacc, do you know if Chemist's codes for Ecco 2 are in the data base? (I can't seem to find them).

          Heh. No problem.

I looked around and they were "only" in the GSC database (Action Replay section). He originally posted it on the GGCCC forums (it doesn't work and the Wayback Machine is of no use here). I stumbled upon his post in '08 and thought they were great codes. So, like usual, I saved them to a text file. Who would've known they would be this rare. Just for reference, this was his post at the time I saw it:

These codes were made about a year ago:

          088FAA:6000
          Swimming through walls.

          0846C0:4E71
          Swimming in the air.

Gauntlet 4 (Aug 1993 version) (Genesis)

                  RZXT-A6VT +
                  RZ0T-A6W4
Walk through walls. Note that enemies can not walk through walls.

NOTE: I'll add these codes shortly.

                  EDIT: Codes added.

The WTW codes are getting much easier.

                    Sword of Vermilion (Genesis)

                    EA6T-AA94
Walk through walls, fences, buildings, etc. (Note that if you want to enter a building, you may need to stop at the open door.)

This code will be added to the DB shortly.

                    EDIT: Added.

Nice work! but the difficulty of making these depends on the game. I made a WTW for Xmen: Mutant Apocalypse using the same method, simply nop the instruction that says that a boundary is present, too bad not all games are so easy lol.

Yep. Sword of Vermilion only took about 3 minutes total to make the code.

                          Always LOVED this game...

                          Legacy of the Wizard (NES)

                          AEXSUOYL
Walk through walls. Also... You can press 'Down' to go through floors. If
you're near the top of the screen, you can jump up through the ceiling to the
level/screen above you, and you can use most solid objects (rocks, bricks, etc)
as a ladder. This code is really good for exploring this awesome game.

                          Code will be added soon.

                          EDIT: Code added.
