both games are missing one code- No Random Battles. i don't like to get keep interrupted by another battle that i already defeated them in the first place. and yes, i have both of them on Gens GS emulator on my PC

Seems that most battles have a boss which must be beaten in order to advance. Long ago I made some "Unlimited Movement" codes for both games that let U place one of Ur chars close enough to a boss to beat him in the first turn. But maybe a better hacker than I can make such codes!I come from a smart family...In the Civil War, my great-grandpa fought for the WEST.

Shining Force games(like Shining Force II on Genesis) for example has a bug glitch that makes you think you haven't fought the battle yet. Two hotspots I can name right off the bat are the battle on your way to get the wooden panel and the battle on your way to fight Taros in Shining Force II.

I did find two optional battles in Shining Force II: 1. In the village that is in the grass area that is right below the cave where you bring the fairy you fight the ooze to end the timed battle and 2. Go left of the small crooked body of water to initiate a battle with Orcs and other enemies in it. You can completely skip this battle by going all the way up to the mountains and going left. If you do wish to fight this battle, one of the Orcs acts as the main enemy that will end the battle instantly.

The game's North American release still has some debugging functions enabled. One is accessible on boot-up by quickly entering the following code on the D-Pad as the Sega logo enters the screen: Up, Down, Up, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Up, Right, Down, Left, Up, B. If entered correctly a sound effect will play. Then when loading a saved game or after entering a character name for a new game hold Start. The following are options in this menu. All are yes or no selections.
Special Turbo: This makes menus and the unit selection cursor in battle move faster.
Control Opponent: This places all enemy units under player control.
Auto Battle: Conversely, this makes all player units act under AI control. The AI is incomplete, however, and the game will crash if it tries to move an archer unit or cast an enemy-targeting spell.
