  • Request: SMS Fantasy Zone - The Maze

It might also be called Fantasy Zone III - The Maze.

If someone can make an invincibility code that'd be awesome. When you die you will flash for about 6 seconds, so it should be easy to figure out. I am using Kega and there is no increasing/decreasing value search. I don't know the exact value as the invincible timer is counting down nor has a percentage search worked for me. I love Kega and am glad it has a cheat function, but it isn't the easiest or clearest one I've used.

You should use that cheat search program mesmerize posted on a few topics. I'm sure he'll come here and post it too.

      Yeah, here I am >.>

The program is Cheat Engine, I make all my RAM codes with it...
For the SGG/SMS, you can use a simple Cheat Engine to PAR converter I made here. (The one for PSX is in my sig...)

I'm about to leave the house now, but I'll make the code later if you don't succeed or whatever.

Oh to use the converter, it needs to know where the Emulated RAM is located within your actual PC RAM.
To find that out, you simply fill out the blue cell. After doing that, it will convert any CE to AR code you paste into the yellow cell. You must click the button 'Click to Edit' to use the converter...

To find out the CE address of the blue cell, load up the game X-Men for the Game Gear and make the Menu Highlighting Modifier code like the image beside the converter.

      Edit:
Here's a 'guide' I made for Cheat Engine with Fusion to make AR codes:

And the first part of this one for GameGenie, could also be useful:

Here's the PAR code: (The counter counts up for this game)
      Code:
      00C0B8:00

I'm definitely gonna try making codes with Cheat Engine at some point. I am just trying to finish as many SMS games in November and December so I can put a SMS endings guide up at gamefaqs by the end of the year. I'm not as quick as figuring out how to make codes as some of you, so it might take me awhile to figure it all out, so I'll just plow through as many games as I can now and then when I get into some of the harder ones I'll delve into making codes with CE.

Thanks again Mez for the code!

I haven't tried Cheat Search yet, but I'm liking that other program TSearch a lot. It works just like an emulator in which you can easily find codes, add it to the program itself, edit them if you wish and the emulator recognizes the codes.
Since my reason to make codes in the first place is to beat the games, then I don't really mind if I can't post those codes here. I'll just post codes for emulators that give you real addresses instead of the converted ones with TSearch.

Any emulator that you hack codes for, that has built-in cheat searching abilities, you can easily convert the code.
Cheat Engine is way way way better than TSearch, I can't stress that enough lol.

            Edit:
In the first link I provided above, I show an example to converting a raw address to an AR address if you would want to try it.
It starts at where I say 'Alright, now that we have a CE address worthy of sharing, it's time to convert it to Action Replay.'
