I just tried them none of them work since the emulator doesn't have an action Replay only gameshark and Code breaker.

Are you using VBA 1.7.2? AR codes work with 1.7.2 but not with 1.8.0.

I downloaded the 1.7.2 one but there is no action replay could it be an enable code is missing?

Enter the codes with either button. It doesn't say action replay but they still work
