it seems to be the last PAL version before NTSC version changed the OSD with v4.0 as it's the same style as the ar / gs pro / cdx.

These are the current releases I know of
AR / GS CDX v3.3: has Tim viewer but missing STR player
GS CDX 3.4: difference to 3.3???
GS 4.0, GS 4.11A, AR 4.20: Has TIM /STR Viewer
GS Lite: Has TIM/STR Viewer + Wireframe rendering mode option for games.

hmm look at 0:29 it shows the poly map under options, the explorer option probably has the str/tim viewer too

you think I dont know, I specially have GS Lite.

I do not count "poly map" (wires, shades, flats) as feature

Explorer just has 1 option Music player.

ok thanks for confirming about lite edition so that video is just a cheap hack of cdx 3.4? it'd still need the dongle.

Yes i'm picky about the screenshots why would they show off another that wasn't even released on a newer product? do you have the back cover of a gameshark v4.11a to compare it too?

Here's the cover from the us v4.11a has the same different osd as the blue pal cover, so it's confirmed it's v4.20 and not another version :-( why they chose to picture an osd from another version is beyond me instead of the actual software on the bloomin' disc it's self.

plus specaically there no law against inaccurate advertizing as in UK.

Xploder V5 Mega Cheats for the PS2 had false advertising on it though saying you could add your own codes when you couldn't, I e-mailed Blaze or Fire International about it and they said they where looking into making a software update via usb but I haven't heard anything back since and that like was 1-2 years ago so I guess it must of had some undocumentated elf launcher like codebreaker does with it's pelican.bin files.

In USA version of Xploder V5 dubded (Madcatz) Gameshark (says v5 on memory card) v1.3, has add that feaure you can add cheats like CB day1 files thught USB
I'm assuming they did not including in Europe version because new cheat core was buggy.

AR max 3.30+ had ELF loader

CMX tricked CB use CB's update patch feature to load ELF inside pelican.bin

Interesting, AR Max v3.30 that's one with media player right? I have v3.60 and the media player was taken out cos of that elf launcher there's a workaround though now through cheat codes

I just got hold of a pro action replay cdx3 ntsc-japan, i'm not sure if it''s cracked but it doesn't require the dongle even though i've see pics of the product come with the dongle.
Managed to get it to load in pcsx but i'm no good at japanese so i can't understand the following options.
I it has all the viewer options I think
Music CD?? - Player didn't show up and returned to the previous menu.
.TIM Viewer?? - Crashed the emulator.
.STR Viewer - Can confirm it works in pcsx.
Enhancement CD?? - Crashed the emulator.

There's also some VCD addon for the older consoles http://ayasuke.exblog.jp/7480844/ that comes with a cd that has ar like cheat software on it not sure if the vcd addon is required for it to work though.

Well I have to say i'm prefering this PAR CDX3 to my own CDX v3.3 it's only missing the option to hack your own in-game codes via a parallel port cartridge "although it may allow you hack them via serial cable like the normal cdx, I haven't tried it yet the cd didn't contain the cdxutils tools" and a VCD player, but apart from that I think it's the best cd based hacking engine for the psone, it allows you add japanese titles too because of the extra character support, it also has a option to select between 6 preset codelists that are already on the cd as well as your own self made codelist so it separates them out you don't have go through the whole list of games that you don't even own :-)
The main executable is called EQCDX.EXE so i'm guessing it's Japanese based translation of the Equalizer CDX.
I've already started translating it all to english with 70% of it done if anybody wants the fully translated version when i'm finished jusk ask.
