Getting GameShark Pro to work on Xploder FX

Is there any way to get a GameShark Pro rom to work on an Xploder FX (512KB Winbond) cartridge?
I get the title screen but only fast start works...the console freezes when I try to load GameShark normally.

Thanks for the links...sadly, I already know both of them and they aren't any help.

Buying a real Gameshark is absolutely the last option for me.
