A neat find of new debug features exclusive to the All-Stars version. The game checks the 8th byte in SRAM and enables debugging for all 4 games if it's a non-zero value. The one for SMB3 functions a bit differently than the existing well known NES SMB3 debug.

                Super Nintendo

Super Mario All-Stars and Super Mario All-Stars + World

                Game Genie:
DFDD-F2AD Enable universal debug mode Note: Super Mario Bros. and Lost Levels: A = Super Mario, X = Fire Mario, Select = invincible, sprite movement. Super Mario Bros. 2: A = sprite movement, X = invincible, restore health. Super Mario Bros. 3: A = sprite movement, X = change suit, Select = invincible. All games: L shoulder = toggle freeze frame, R shoulder = advance frame

                Pro Action Replay:
70000701 Enable universal debug mode Note: Super Mario Bros. and Lost Levels: A = Super Mario, X = Fire Mario, Select = invincible, sprite movement. Super Mario Bros. 2: A = sprite movement, X = invincible, restore health. Super Mario Bros. 3: A = sprite movement, X = change suit, Select = invincible. All games: L shoulder = toggle freeze frame, R shoulder = advance frame

Edit: please give credit to BMF54123 on these - I just found out he discovered this, too, and over a month before I did. It seems we both stumbled upon it independently while trying to figure out what the deal was with the SMB3 debug glitch.

This Debug code for Super Mario All-Stars is great and work properly. Why all other JLukas's debug codes are been added to database, only this for Super Mario All-Stars game is not?

Please someone add this code to GSHI's database!

The SMAS debug was already found a long time ago and even used as an example in an old Tony H SNES document. But since the codes are slightly different it didn't turn up in search. It wasn't until later, while doing more investigation on 7E0160 (the SMB3 debug address) that search turned it up. Sorry for the mistake!

This post is broken into two parts since the latter is a long description and will probably have more updates in the future.

                      Super Nintendo

Lufia II Rise of the Sinistrals

                      Game Genie
206A-4FAA Debug mode Note: Hold Select on Controller 2 and press X on Controller 1 to enable debugging features. On Controller 1 hold Start and press X to enter the first debug menu.

                      Pro Action Replay
8380C7D4 Debug mode Note: Hold Select on Controller 2 and press X on Controller 1 to enable debugging features. On Controller 1 hold Start and press X to enter the first debug menu.

                      7E057CFF Enable debugging features

                      -----

                      The full description:

A hidden debug menu in Lufia 2 for the Super Nintendo. To activate it, use Game Genie code 206A-4FAA or Pro Action Replay Code 8380C7D4.

While in an area, hold Select on controller 2 and press X on controller 1 to enable debugging (only needs to be done once). This sets memory address 7E057C to FF. The same button combo can be used again to turn it off, if necessary.

On controller 1 hold Start and press X to enter the first debug screen, EV FLAGS. Use A or B to toggle flags, and to increase/decrease registers. L and R shoulder buttons change the page.

From there you can jump to more menus:
Press X to switch to TP FLAGS. The same controls as EV FLAGS apply.
Press Select for a menu to Load or Save your game progress.
Press Y for the main debug screen

                      Location controls:
                      Controller 1:
Hold B while moving to dash combined with walk through walls
Press Select to enter a battle (not functional in all areas)

                      Controller 2:
                      Hold Start to freeze action
Press L and R to cycle through sprites

                      Battle controls:
                      Press X to exit battle
Hold Select then press R to enter Debug Battle mode (a sound effect confirms success)
                      Press Start to freeze action

                      Debug Battle controls:
Press A or B to cycle through backgrounds
Press X or Y to cycle through monsters
Hold up then press R to exit

                      Menu controls:
(You will need to turn off the 206A-4FAA GG / 8380C7D4 PAR code first to enter the menu. The debug features will still remain enabled because of 7E057CFF set)

Move the cursor over ITEM, SPELL, CAPSULE, EQUIP or STATUS. Hold L and press X for various bonuses:
ITEM - adds 1 to items
                      SPELL - adds spells.
CAPSULE - enabled if it was not selectable
EQUIP - sets all bits 7FF080 through 7FF168
                      STATUS - add 10,000 gold

                      Capsule menu controls:
                      Press L or R to decrease/increase level
In the FEED screen, move the cursor from the item list to the SELECT SORT area, and press X to raise the GROW meter.

                      World Map controls:
Hold B while moving to dash combined with walk through walls
                      Press A + B to board airship
Press Select to enter a battle
