Platinum version. Also about code what where the default values for it, I want to hack it for this PAL version.
I found the car textures for replacment as well as the safety car and truck during the ending credits ;-) i'll post more on that later when I unscrambled them.
The menu backgrounds are stored within the .BS files they can be opened with sony's movie convertor app by setting the resolution to
        640x256 irc.

          You mean this code?
          Toca Championship Racing [U] [SLUS-00611]

When in reverse, enter 'Look-Backwards' view, when leaving reverse, enter view of choice
          D00A66D4 0007
          300B7118 0005
          D00A66D4 0001
          300B7118 000?

          ?=1-4 (4 is default)

D00A66D4 0007 - is "If In Reverse Gear"
300B7118 0005 - is "Then enter Look Back Replay View"
          D00A66D4 0001 - "When In First Gear"
          300B7118 000? - "Enter View"

          Edit:
          GameBuster codes show
          TOCA 1 Version 1.0
          TOCA 1 (Version 1.1) Platinum
TOCA 1 (Version 1.2) Value Series

So I guess Platinum PAL version is 1.1

Why do the gears make a difference?
Isn't the rearview linked to pressing down?
Why do you need all those jokers if it's just changing the normal view normally selected by triangle? isn't it just one address?
5 being the rearview and 4 being the normal view?
sorry but I haven't quite grasped what your codes does I thought it locked a certain views or something.

The gears changes automates changing the view.

My code has nothing to do with pressing ANY button to activate codes.

Simply drive in reverse to enter that view, and drive forward to enter your view of choice.

              Edit:
I'll post this very short video (again) for those who have no clue what I'm talkin' about:

Yeah, the 2nd set of codes sets the camera back.
Without it, after leaving reverse, you would still be stuck in reverse view...

That's some good stuff, and you have nice video's on your channel!

The only thing Ive ever done, Is mess with the DreamCast ISO a little.
Used these tools to rip the video's, and used to have tools to extract all the jpg images...

                        Thank you.
This what i've found so far regarding the textures still working on unscrambling that image for all the car textures but i'm guessing if it's like the safety car and truck they all use 256x256 for the resolution.
Maybe the safety car and truck are drivable as well with hacks.

It's part of the dev tools that came with Net Yaroze I think, the latest version is v3.4 as far as I know and it only works properly on x86 Windows 9x.
For BS backgrounds you have guess and manually set the resolution before it'll open them the best way to do that is run a game through an emulator with nothing stretched as 1x1 and take a screen capture.

I tried porting your code but I ended up with 3 addresses for the gear changes.

                              Thanks for the info.
Something to look into when I get some spare time.

                              Here ya go:
                              TOCA - Touring Car Championship (E) (v1.1) [SLES-00376]
                              D00A728C 0007
                              300B7CC8 0005
                              D00A728C 0001
                              300B7CC8 0004

You can change the very last digit to 1-3 if you would like...

Since the code is only reading the gear, I bet it wouldn't matter which one to use.
But I typically just use the first one in a situation like that, or the code closest to the other addresses found...

If you wanted to go all out, you could use every view:
                              D00A728C 0007
                              300B7CC8 0005
                              D00A728C 0001
                              300B7CC8 0001
                              D00A728C 0002
                              300B7CC8 0004
                              D00A728C 0003
                              300B7CC8 0002
                              D00A728C 0004
