    NES Game Genie codes by me. (J) = Japanese version, (U) = USA, (E) = Europe.



    *** Blaster Master ***

    (U) Start in world 2/3/4/5/6/7/8. Replace _ with P/Z/L/G/I/T/Y.

        EIAGNY: Infinite lives in all modes.
        EYTIZA: Infinite ammo in gang mode.
        EAPIPT: Enemies never shoot in gang mode.

        A code for Super Mario Bros (USA):

        AOAUIG: Mario and Luigi can jump in midair.

            VSNKGZGO:
            Start in world 1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8.
            Select the world by holding down the following buttons when the tank start-up animation appears:
            no button: world 1
            right: world 2
            left: world 3
            left + right: world 4
            down: world 5
            down + right: world 6
            down + left: world 7
            down + left + right: world 8

            VSNKGZGO + AENKTXAA:
            Start at the boss of world 1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8.
            Select the world by holding down the following buttons when the tank start-up animation appears:

            To start at the bosses, hold down the up button too.

            (Because some of the button combinations above are not possible on a real NES: )

            Start in world 1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8.
            Select the world by holding down the following buttons on controller one or two when you press start at the title screen.
            no button: world 1
            right: world 2
            left: world 3
            left + right: world 4
            down: world 5
            down + right: world 6
            down + left: world 7
            down + left + right: world 8
            To start at the beginning of the world, hold down the up button too. To start at the boss, don't hold down the up button.

            For example, you can hold down down + left on controller one and up + right on controller two, and then press start on controller one to start at the beginning of world 8.

            (How generous of Blaster Master to monitor controller two (RAM $DF) even though it's a single-player game. I ORed the input of both controllers and used that as the starting world number.)

                    I notice you're making lots of Jump in Mid Air codes. What method are you using to make them?. I allways had trouble making these codes, and maybe you got a new method.

                      Thanks. I make them this way:
                      - I use FCEUX.
                      - I find the RAM address that the game uses to check if the player is standing on something or not. (Tools --> RAM Filter.)
                      - I verify the RAM address by looking at it with Debug --> Hex Editor.
                      - I jump, open Debug --> Code/Data Logger, click Start, try to jump in the air, click Pause, and click 'Save Stripped iNES ROM'.
                      - I disassemble the stripped ROM with Dasm. There's the code that gets executed when the game checks if the player is allowed to jump.
                      - I look for commands that read the RAM address and branch somewhere. I change the commands with a hex editor so that the game always or never branches, depending on if it checks if the player is on the ground or in the air. You need a list of opcodes to do that. I think you can find one at http://nesdev.parodius.com .
                      - When I have found the right place with a hex editor, I make the Game Genie code with Game Genie Code Converter. I subtract $10 from the file address (the header). If there's 32 kB of PRG-ROM, that's the Game Genie address. If there's 16 kB, I add $4000. If there's more than 32 kB, I subtract $2000 (or $4000?) so many times that the address goes below $8000. There will be four possible addresses this way, so I try them all.

                            Got them.
                            Why you created such codes?. Are you working in a rom hack project?.
                            Just a suggestion: try to use 8 letter GG codes. Usually 6 letters codes causes problems.

                              Thanks. I created them just for fun. I thought 6-letter codes work as well as 8-letter codes in games that don't use mappers.
