  • Combatribes (U) SNES, Pro Action Replay

    Play as any character in story mode:

    7E17C400

    Change the last two digits to any pair of hexidecimal digits in the range of 00-14 to pick any character in the game. This code must be off and only toggled on when the level is loaded to avoid freezing. It should also be disabled before defeating a boss. The character will not have their graphic data properly loaded, but all of their moves/special properties will work and the name above your health bar will change.

    I also had questions on improving the codes:

    -Is there any way to pre-load the graphics for a certain character? I tried to find ways to not make them a jumbled mess, but things only load properly in multiplayer (where I'm guessing there's routines in place for getting the right graphics loaded).

    -Is there a good method to look for a memory address to change that would deliver a similar effect but with a Game Genie? I don't own the real hardware for a PAR but I do own a Game Genie and copy of Combatribes, but the 7E address codes are off limits.
