  • Shining Force II (Genesis GG)

My first time hacking in years, and probably my first code ever:

Spells don't use MP (even for enemies)
    ALKT-AA6L

I'll post if I find something useful again. Thanks for your attention.

    Good code, but...

Oh man... I didn't see it on GSHI so I thought no one had made a code for that yet...

Well, ignore the submission then. I learned a lot hacking it anyway.

There have been MANY times when I've spent lots of time working on a code, only to find out someone else already made the code.

          Got more codes today:

          RZET-A6YJ
          or
          AJCT-AA8L
Blind mode: hides ALL the menus, dialog boxes, stat boxes, etc from the game. Should be fun to those who know the game from end to end. The first one is a little buggy, though.

          R0BT-C6ZN
Nothing happens when attacking, using an item, getting attacked, etc. Use during enemy turns.

          RZZA-A6V2
The message box stays there all the time when attacking, using an item, etc. A little buggy.

          AWKT-AA8C
          Die from taking any damage

          RGKT-A60C
Can't die from taking damage. If your health goes below zero, your max health is restored.

          RGKT-A60A
Getting hit doesn't decrease your health.

          JWKT-BF0A
Getting hit heals you by the amount of damage you should have taken.

I have only tested this codes by hacking them in, but they should work fine as GG codes, unless I messed something up in the convertor. All of them have the same effects on you as on enemies, so you should toggle them while in-game if you want to get away with cheating.
Also, note that the codes about dying haven't been tested with poison nor instant death (desoul), and I'm almost sure they don't work in those cases.

EDIT: went right up to the code hut after posting this, and turns out the "don't take damage" code was already made by Tony Hedstrom. Again.

              Got more codes today:

              AALA-BY7W
Hides ALL numbers from the game (stats, gold, land effect, etc). Less harsh version of the blind mode.

              ABEA-EA80
Allows you to cast spells even if you don't have enough MP.

Status hiding codes: these codes affect the status window (the one when checking your stats or enemy stats with the cursor in battle, or when entering member details in the menu), and nothing else. They determine whether status are shown as "??" or displayed normally.

              CJTT-CA9R
              Always hide attack

              CJVA-CA2T
              Always hide defense

              CJVA-CA30
              Always hide agility

              CJVA-CA42
              Always hide movility

              CJTT-CA2E
              Always hide current HP

              CJTT-CA3H
              Always hide max HP

              CJTT-CA4H
              Always hide current MP

              CJTT-CA5L
              Always hide max MP

              RETT-C61R
              Never hide attack

              REVA-C6TT
              Never hide defense

              REVA-C6V0
              Never hide agility

              RETT-C6TE
              Never hide current HP

              RETT-C6VH
              Never hide max HP

              RETT-C6WH
              Never hide current MP

              RETT-C6XL
              Never hide max MP

For stats over 100, the 1 won't be displayed, so you might see an enemy with 09 attack, for example.

I like the "Allows you to cast spells even if you don't have enough MP" code.

Thanks It sort of complements your original MP code. Hacking has become a world easier since I read about Regen on this board and downloaded the debugging version. It's a totally amazing tool.

It took long, but I finally made the code I wanted. My best code so far:

                    E47A-AA7L
Muddle, dispel, sleep and desoul ALWAYS work, even against Zeon and other bosses.

Very nice code collection. I've always been looking for an effective Character Modifier for this game which allows me to have some nice enemies on my own side and level them up. Would be quite interesting.
