Does a Game Genie cartridge work in a Game Boy Color?

Hey, I was just wondering if a Game Genie will work with the Game Boy Color. Also, has anyone tested the Pokemon Yellow game genie codes to see if they work with Game Boy color?

Yes it does but you'll have to first start it up with a regular monochrome Game Boy game then switch it as the logo is scrolling down to the Game Boy color game. Please do note that this may erase both games and that the Game Boy Color features will be disabled. Game Boy Color only games do not work as well. Also, I have seen a Game Boy Color Game Genie but I could be mistaken on that.

I had a Gameshark for my Game Boy color that worked great,

But the Game Genie and Gameshark use different code fomrats and are not interchangeable so he probably wants specific Game Genie codes only.

Right, but if he has a Gameshark, it will work perfectly with the Game Boy Color, and I'm sure someone here could make the codes he would want.

use VBA to make GS codes, or if I really gave a fuck and had the game which I do, then I could use my GS and GBColor to make codes ,but there are a huge amount of GS codes for this game already.

sorry for being so late but i found the Game Genie to work better in the Gameboy Color than it does in the Game Boy Pocket. it is much more secure in the slot.
