    Perhaps you should start working on the zsnes stuff first.
    You'll waste too much time going through every game, then making the SGB capable zsnes and then go through all the games yet again.

    "2. How do I know if a game will use pre-determined colors like Link's Awakening with BGB?"

    Maybe this can help?
    ZSNES dev Nach told me that these names are included inside the SGB ROM. I assume that this means that the following games have pre-determined color schemes.

    "'strings Super\ Gameboy\ \(J\)\ \(R2.0\)

    ZELDA
    SUPER MARIOLAND
    MARIOLAND2
    SUPERMARIOLAND3
    KIRBY DREAM LAND
    HOSHINOKA-BI
    KIRBY'S PINBALL
    YOSSY NO TAMAGO
    MARIO & YOSHI
    YOSSY NO COOKIE
    YOSHI'S COOKIE
    DR.MARIO
    TETRIS
    YAKUMAN
    METROID2
    KAERUNOTAMENI
    GOLF
    ALLEY WAY
    BASEBALL
    TENNIS
    F1RACE
    KID ICARUS
    BALL
    N KID
    SOLARSTRIKER
    GBWARS "

      Lol. I purchased Marvin Mission today for 4.99 time to try out that unused border! I have some of those games. I will try to find the real names of the games like Yakuman... I have no idea what that is. BTW I tried finding the names with Hex Workshop and didn't find any of those names with it. I should have know about Kirbys Hoshinoka-Bi though. Double Yakuman 2 (J) or Double Yakuman Jr. (J), BALL may be Faceball2000 by Bullletproof soft I believe this because Yoshi's Cookie was made by Bulletproof soft as well and it has a color scheme. N KID can't be Balloon Kid because mine has color A-1. Thanks. I'm curious about what color set the other aforementioned games have.

        Looking closer at the Marvin Mission border found by ugetab, it looks exactly like the room after the last boss.
        However, I reached that room and the border didn't change. So either my infinite energy cheat bugged out the game, or the border was never implemented in the final game.

          Maybe you have an early of prototype version. What's the password? I'll try it on my copy.

            No, I have the version with SGB support. There were 2 releases, one without SGB support and one with it.

            The password for the last level is:
            82048

            Use infinite energy and infinite rocket pack cheats, because this game is a real piece of crap with some extremely long and difficult jumps. I don't know how can anyone beat that game without cheats.

            After you reach the last boss and beat him, you'll go into a room with a big telescope. Marvin is there and all you have to do is jump on his head.
            However, when I got there, using the cheats. A bug made me fall through the floor as if there was a hole and the game bugged out.

            You can even see a video on youtube about this bug, even without reaching the last boss.

              Also ugetab; You said you had Quix, right? Well what color does it have on a Super Game Boy?

                Nenson, Qix isn't SGB compatible, and the header name(QIX) isn't in the SGB ROM. It has the default colors. Try it in BGB to see what it would look like.

                  BGB would not show non-default colors. Qix is in the SGB rom, I checked with Hexworkshop. Try searching strings with 3 char min.

                    If someone wants to use this, go for it.

                    I extracted the simple bits and pieces needed to understand how the palettes work.

                    Here's a list, according to the game's internal header:

                    1-E means Palette Row 1, Set E (This is the internal number used in the SGB rom)

                    ZELDA = 1-E (05)
                    SUPER MARIOLAND = 1-F (06)
                    MARIOLAND2 = 3-D (14)
                    SUPERMARIOLAND3 = 1-B (02)
                    KIRBY DREAM LAND = 2-C (0B)
                    HOSHINOKA-BI = 2-C (0B)
                    KIRBY'S PINBALL = 1-C (03)
                    YOSSY NO TAMAGO = 2-D (0C)
                    MARIO & YOSHI = 2-D (0C)
                    YOSSY NO COOKIE = 1-D (04)
                    YOSHI'S COOKIE = 1-D (04)
                    DR.MARIO = 3-B (12)
                    TETRIS = 3-A (11)
                    YAKUMAN = 3-C (13)
                    METROID2 = 4-G (1F)
                    KAERUNOTAMENI = 2-A (09)
                    GOLF = 3-H (18)
                    ALLEY WAY = 3-F (16)
                    BASEBALL = 2-G (0F)
                    TENNIS = 3-G (17)
                    F1RACE = 4-F (1E)
                    KID ICARUS = 2-F (0E)
                    BALLôôN KID = 1-A (01) (Default...why'd they include this?)
                    QIX = 4-A (19)
                    SOLARSTRIKER = 1-G (07)
                    X = 4-D (1C)
                    GBWARS = 3-E (15)

                    4-A is this(For BGB>Options>GB Color):
                    1st color = 240,168,104
                    2nd color = 120,168,248
                    3rd color = 208,0,208
                    4th color = 0,0,120

                    Someone (else) should really extract all the SGB color schemes so they can be added to BGB's bgb.ini for easy access.

                      Holy shit!!!! Thanks!!!! OMG!!!! wow! Faints... wakes up... after ten minutes clams down.
                      Quix is 4-A I knew it somehow... I don't know how maybe I sensed it. I'm going to add this to GSCentral. Thanks again! Uhh... how exactly did you do this? This is the most amazing thing I've seen in a long time. I might have to rearrange this.

                        I don't care enough about the dribbles at GSC to go there. I also don't care enough about this project to explain it to you. Go ask the GSCers to tell you how it's done. I'm sure some are accidentally gifted enough to tell you how.

                          Ugetab is a master.

                          Ugetab, I know you don't care about his project (or mine), but it would really mean a lot if you could still help us like you so altruistically did on all the previous posts.

                          Your inner goodness keeps on making you help us

                              Run SGB rom with unlock codes
                              choose palette
                              go to color editor
                              press Print Screen button
                              paste into pbrush window
                              use color selector to select first color with left click
                              go to the edit color option
                              record values as 'first color'
                              repeat until the codes for all 4 colors are gotten
                              post here as I did, and I'll even auto-convert them, because that's the easy part
