Question about The Guardian Legend

It seems like all the codes I've tried for chips (the currency in the game) don't work. "Start with max chips" works for a while, starting you with 9999 chips, but then suddenly they disappear and you're left with like 100 or so, wit only having spent maybe 1000 of them. AESAGYZL-EESAIYAA

"Infinite chips" (SXOAVLSA-SXOEXLVG) doesn't work at all. Anybody know of a good chip code that works? Thanks
