  • Secret of Mana

It would be awesome if someone could make a real PAR or Game Genie code for Secret of Mana that would let you walk through walls. There's one floating around on various websites, but it doesn't work. It would be nice to see if there is anything behind that inaccessible door in Northtown.

use these codes I made, they work pretty good but are not 100 percent always working everywhere:

    WALK THRU WALL P1 7EE00B:FF
    WALK THRU WALL P2 7EE20B:FF
    WALK THRU WALL P3 7EE40B:FF

Oh my heavens! THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I finally was able to get below that barrier in the Northtown Coffee Shop and prove that door doesn't go anywhere. You can't open it, it's just part of the background.

Thanks again. If I get this information up onto my site, I'll make sure you get credit.

yea I tried many places that always bugged me but as far as I can tell there is no hidden rooms or doors or anything, but you never know there could be an invisible door or exit in some part of the game althou I'm very skeptical.

Hi, Lazy. It's been awhile since I've been here. I think the last time I posted here, the board was still an ezboard.

Specifically, this is the door that bugged me for years. There are hidden passages in Matango's inn and Tasnica (the latter of which leads to a merchant), and I thought that there just had to be a hidden passage that led to this door, too. Otherwise, I couldn't figure out why it was there. The fact that it was in Empire Northtown made the mystery even more agonizing, because I thought if I figured out how to get in there, it would lead to that weird object on Northtown's world map:

Specifically, that big circular spinning object...

That mystery has haunted me ever since I first played this game many years ago.

There was also this "restricted" area in Northtown on the east side of town, blocked off by a row of flowers, and I always wanted to get over there, thinking maybe the path to that circle thing would be over there (it is east of the town on the world map), but I was able to explore it with your codes and found nothing. *sigh* But good to finally have some of these theories I've had for years laid to rest.

That circle is a cannon travel that I'm sure of,I remember talking to town people about some secret up north so I figured North Town and I looked everywhere and I did find a patch of trees that you can walk thru but in the end it was the Hidden continent up north grrrrr.

But why represent a Cannon Travel center so differently from all the others on the map? The item in the middle of the circle is a different sprite from all the others.

I could try to get a screenshot of a normal Cannon Travel Center from the world map later.

I still think the moving circle represents something that got cut from the final version of the game.

I agree. I think, at the least, they intended to add more secret areas to SoM, and either didn't have the time, or removed them for some reason.

It is fun. I lost my attention span before the first boss ;D I may go back to it due to the lack of good classic like RPG's coming out :-(
Cant stand the 32 bit and above gaming.

Sounds a lot like the excuse someone had for not playing Terranigma...

Actually, it was 'Che', who made save-state editors, and probably never made it outside the first village before releasing an editor for the game.
