Sega Game Gear PAR Codes

Thanks again for all the codes Mezmorize.

I recieved a Sega Master System for Xmas back in '86 (still have it). So many great memories! It took me about 3 months to beat the game Shinobi. I had a couple of Game Gears too back in the day.



I installed MESS too, and tried making a code with it. I followed Whipon's great guide and I'm having a problem finding the last value I need to complete a Game Genie code for the game Aerial Assault (Game Gear):

The PAR code is 00C41C:02 for Infinite Lives, and the value to make the GG code is 48CD E6. Now I just don't know the last 2 values I need to complete the code.

You can use Fusion's built-in cheat searcher to create some codes if you would like ^.^
Their are still some good codes to be made for SGG/SMS.

I never had a SMS, just a Game Gear for only a couple of years.
I got a launch PS1 a few months later, so I guess it was in '95.

Thanks a bunch for looking into this Mezmorize. I will attempt it with infinite lives, but I think I couldn't do it way back when using an actualy PAR for the SMS back in the day. I remember a guy named Richard Good came up with a bunch of PAR codes...musta been over 10 years ago. He also used to make photocopies of the SMS manuals. I made some codes back then on the PAR for the SMS but I would have to google it to find out what they were and there probably aren't any sites left with those old codes

That address is 0 under normal conditions, but when you get hit, the number goes up to 38 or so.

Well, I tried for quite a while with no luck.
Sorry, I may try again later, got burnt out on it for a while.
You can always just use the infinite planes code, I got up to stage 6 with it, just trying to find the code.

The one SMS game I could never beat was Afterburner. I could get to the last boss plane but always died. I'd love to see an invincibility code for this game.

So what SMS emulator can you plug these codes into and play? I haven't emulated SMS for a good decade

If you would want to try to make your own Genie codes, the only thing I did just then is open the game with MESS and used a command to find out what accesses the code 00C485:02.

I tried the Batman Returns Game Genie Invincible code. It works perfectly.

Tried the Alien 3 Game Genie Invincibility code on Fusion. When I start the game and try to go all the way down the first ladder, Ripley disappears and falls from the top of the screen. The Action Replay code works perfectly.
