  • Super Mario Bros 2 (NES) site question

In the list of user created codes for NES games ( http://www.thegshi.org/?s=v2&sys=5 ), there are several listings for Super Mario Bros 2. They are as follows:

Super Mario Bros 2 (Pirate Cart)
Super Mario Bros 2 Version 1
Super Mario Bros 2 Version 2
    Super Mario Bros 2

Is one of those the Japanese version of the game, i.e. the game that was packaged as The Lost Levels in Super Mario All-Stars (SNES)? Whats the differences?

None of those are the Japanese version of SMB2. SMB2 (J) was for the Famicom Disk System.

Just use the SMB1 PAR codes. I'm sure they'll work right for the most part.

Oops, sorry. ^_^ I wasn't looking for cheat codes, I was looking for a ROM of the game. I know it was for Famicom, but I've heard somebody(s) created a ROM hack of it for NES emulators. Ever seen that?

      Thanks,
      Ryan

Dunno about the hack, but i know that the lost levels was a game released only in japan and with other characters and storyline.
