  • Code request: Spelunker (NES)

I was wondering, does anybody know of a super jump code for this game? There's a high jump code here on the site but I wanted one to make the player jump twice as high as normal. Also, anybody know a code to stop the player from dying if he falls from a height?

    Thanks,
    Ryan

For what its worth, I came up with a code to survive the high fall, back when I was a kid. I got it from the original 'invincibility' code:

    ATKPAIAZ
    TUEEYKNN
    GXOAPKIX

Mine was only one code long, not three. I don't remember what it was, though. :\

try this for a higher jump
        SNEAKEVN
(you can't enter or exit the elevator)
as for the never die from falling
use this will give you invincibility

The falling without dying code worked. You still hear the sound effect you hear when you die, but nothing happens and you don't lose a life. The other effects it would have remain the same -- if there's a ghost on the screen, he disappears, etc.

That jump code is actually the first half of a two-part code for jumping. The original code was titled something like "jump a little higher" and didn't seem to work. I couldn't get this code to work, either. The main reason I want the jump code is in case I get stuck in those V-shaped pits or someplace like that. The jump codes I've seen on various websites don't seem to work. Is there one out there that can make the player jump like three or four times his own height?

I seem to remember there being a code to either slow down or stop the timer (ever seen a code like this?) but thats not very important.

          (edit)

Actually lemme rephrase that. If you get stuck because of the "don't die from falling" code you can sometimes switch the code off, depending where you're at, and die, thus it resets you back to where you were standing before you fell. With the infinite lives code swtiched on, you don't have to worry about game overs.

If you make him jump higher (even just a little higher) it seems that the elevator is innaccesible, the little space between the elevator and the platforms were designed by the programmers so is just adapted to the height you jump. But if you need them, here you have.

            Double Jump
            SNEAKEVN

            Triple Jump
            KNEAKEVN

            Hyper Jump
            ENEAKEVY

See Ragemanchoo? Here you have codes that works and hackers that want to help you. You will not find nothing like Not Interested from me, if the requests is a retrogame.

Thanks They all worked! You're adding them to the website inventory, right?

I think I just beat the game...? There is a large pyramid halfway through the final level, but I guess its hust scenery. I made it to a small pyramid with three glowing orbs on it (if I'd had the high jump turned on I could have reached the orbs). I had to unlock a blue and a red door to get to this pyramid. I stood in front of it and hit 'B', then it started flashing and funny music played. It cuts to another screen showing the little spelunker guy is jumping on a pile of treasure and the message says something to the effect of "lets start another adventure!" It puts me back at the start of the first level but all the rock is green instead of light brown. I didn't know there was a 'second quest' in this game. LOL! None of the keys are visible, but they're still there. I don't know if this is an error or not.

The third time around all the rock is a greenish-gray color. I thought I got all the keys...Its not letting me past that second of the two locked doors at the at the end of the first level.

I'm not the one who add the codes to the database. I'm just one of the hackers here. Soon or later the admins will take care of those codes.

                "SPELUNKER (Broderbund)
-Work you way through the caves and after awhile you will reach a structure
that if you touch it will bring you to a victory screen. However, that is
just the first quest. You now have to go through the same caves again, but
instead of being orange they are green and everything (enemies and obstacles)
are faster and more difficult to deal with. Make it through the green caves
and you get the victory screen, then a 3rd quest is presented with grey
caves. Beat the grey caves and you will reach the 4th quest, the gold
caves. Beat the gold caves and you get the same old victory screen.
However, when you continue you will be starting again, but the caves will
still be gold. I finished 3 quests of the gold caves and they are all the
same (except things get a bit faster), so consider beating this game beating
                the 4 quests (orange-green-grey-gold caves)."
