  • TSearch and TurboGrafx 16

I recently found out about TSearch and it's capabilities, and I decided to try it out with Ootake, a nice TG16 emulator I found. I hacked some cheats for various games and saved them as .cht files using TSearch. I have tried reloading them and I've been able to successfully use them when reloading a game in Ootake a few times, but the two programs don't always seem to work together. I was wondering if anyone else has tried this and has a found a way to reload the cheats the next time you load the game into an emulator. Any help is greatly appreciated.

i've run into this problem with other emulators and T-search and cheat engine you will have to try a diffrent emulator in order to get anything that works all the time

Well, I tinkered around with the two programs yesterday and I believe I found a way to reload the cheats every time I play the emulator. I start Ootake and get the game running, then I open TSearch and load the cheats I want. Then I reset the game and the cheats seem to take effect.

I've found that if I create a savestate and load the codes when I load the savestate the values seem to load correctly. When you load the game initially the code values will be different when they're loaded. You might also try adding a comment in the code description as to the correct value so you can remember it.

You always have to reload the process, "reload ootake in the tsearch process manager", to get the codes to work correctly.

              Hi,

with these 2 PAR codes for Bonk's Revenge on the Turbo Grafix-16:

              FFCE87:1F Infinite health
              FFCA1A:9A Infinite lives 99

I was wondering how to find the values in the rom where the lives or health are stored so I can patch the rom permenatly?

              Any help would be great!

              Thanks.

                Come on you great hackers!

I know someone can help me out here at the GSHI.

What I want to do is patch the game Bonk's Revenge for the Turbo Grafix-16 permenantly with either infinite health or infinte lives. I need the hex address in the rom to do so.

                FFCE87:1F Infinite health
                FFCA1A:9A Infinite lives 99

It would so make my day!

                Thanks.

                    Hi,

the codes are from a person that posted them in a forum here:

This place makes a device calledthe PCE-PRO 32M flash Cart for PC Engine and other systems, and the device has a cheat function built in:
