Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles GCN Text Pointers in ROM
Hello, I'm new here. I've been searching for a way to end a 2-week long nightmare I've been having trying to find the item text pointers in the US version of FFCC in ROM.
The pointer list in RAM starts at 8096A000.
The text in RAM starts at 8096CF40.
The text in ROM starts at 29C86A30.
The problem is the ROM's pointers; the text and pointers are right next to each other in RAM, but in ROM, the text is preceded by another text file. I've tried searching for addresses where the strings start with no luck.
When I extract the ROM, I found the text in c_system.cfd and ffcc_cli.bin (The latter seems to be for text displayed on connected GBAs), yet the pointers weren't there, either. I also couldn't find the pointers in other files in the same folders.
I really don't know what else I can do to find these ROM text pointers. If anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it.
