SwapMagic uses its own encryption. I did some small tests using the example of Resident Evil Code Veronica X SLUS_201.84 (Watch). The codes work, but this option did not work for Berserk. Perhaps the Mastercode should consist of two lines (Watch), which requires a specific encryption key. In general, I did not fully understand...

Why use SwapMagic? There is also CodeBreaker and CheatDevice, which are much simpler in terms of the format of the codes...

Thanks for the Mastercode, that works for Swap Magic.
I'm using Swap Magic since that is the only way I know of to run original NTSC J or PAL region games on a Slim PS2 model without doing any kind of hardmod but also run widecreen codes I'm converting from .pnach files.

You are welcome. But this is Lee4's merit, he suggested which code format SwapMagic uses...

                      denben0487

I found a raw code format address to adjust the aspect ratio to widescreen for Berserk.

                      From

                      203D2C10 3F4CCCCD

                      Adjust it to

                      203D2C10 3F2AAAAB

When I try to convert it with omniconvert from Raw to Action Replay V1 to use in Swap Magic it converts it to

                      1CACAF38 212C7D40

At this point when I run it on my PS2 slim console it freezes at the Now Loading... Screen
My guess is I need a conditional code so that it skips that loading screen, I've had to use these types of codes before on PS1 console.

Any idea what it could be in Action Replay format, if it supports it at all?

                      Thanks.

I did try the raw format and ended up with the same result. Freezes at now loading screen.

I'm thinking I need a conditional format of the original address so that it can skip the loading screen and then load the changed address.

                          Change after the loading screen

                          203D2C10 3F4CCCCD

                          to

Try one of these codes (first in RAW, second in AR1):
                            Code:
                            16:9 (RAW)
                            1023979C 3C033F19
                            102397A4 3463999A

                            16:9 (AR1)
                            1CB618C4 2053F0AE
                            1CB618CC 28734E2F
These are the corrected codes from '9685E636.pnach'. I only tested on an emulator. So you need to check on PS2...

PS: Later I will check the operability of conditional codes in SwapMagic.

Have you tried this trick? Source
Store multiple programs in the USB Mass Storage Devices:
                              1. You can put maximum 4 files in the SWAPMAGIC folder at the
same time. You will need to rename those programs to
                              SMBOOT0.ELF, SMBOOT1.ELF, SMBOOT2.ELF and
                              SMBOOT3.ELF respectively.
                              2. Plug-in the USB Mass Storage Device to the USB port of the
PS2, and then boots your PS2 with CODER disc.
                              3. After booting up your PS2 with CODER disc, you will see a
                              “BOOT DISC” window
                              4. Select “SMBOOT” and you will see another window “LAUNCH
                              SMBOOT”
I tested (with SwapMagic 3.8.ELF only, not original disc) and this way works ...
