  • super mario kart hack - is this possible?

    Hi all,
I'm totally new to gamehacking.org, so I hope this is the right place for my question.

I ask myself for a long time if this is possible.
My problem is that I'm fully blind. But it would be so cool to play super mario kart for the snes. Isn't it possible to hack the game so it steers automatically? So that I only have to throttle? And perhaps a sound if a player is in range to shoot ad him?
If it really is possible, could anyone be so kind and do such a hack?

    Thanks for reading!

Unfortunately it's generally not possible to do something like that on the original hardware. It really depends on the game

It would be feasible on an emulator that supports LUA scripting, the LUA script would act as an AI and press the move buttons automatically according to the position on the screen and could play sounds when players are in range.

Here's some examples of games fully autoplaying in MAME with a LUA script:

It might be an interesting project for someone, but it's out of scope for the cheats you see here. It would be a good project for a school/university student for writing an AI that can play a computer game and it would actually be a nice thing to do.

I'm not sure the best place to ask though, sorry.

Because I didn't find such cheats or hacks for my question, I thought I ask this here.
I'll try asking it on another forum. There is a forum specially for blind people. With lua scripts, pokemon crystal version is now fully playable for us, perhaps someone could do this for super mario kart, too.
      But thanks for your help!
