I was looking for a code to help the make the game less brutal for regular folks while still keeping it a bit honest before heading for the invincibility cheat. There are two shield states you can get from the power up depending on how you interact with it. You'll get a shield good for 3 hits if you physically fly into it, or 5 hits if you connect the TOZ to it instead. The power up orb in question looks like this:
