  • Request: Power Strike II (Master System)

    Hello.

The ROM write codes that enable the Debug Options in Main Menu (008-34E-7F4, 008-5FE-7F4, 00B-08A-7F4) are faulty. They do enable the debug options, but they are out of reach and you can't access to them.

Can these be fixed to behave like the RAM write code (C30D:01) does?

what emu are you using? (if any)
also do you have access to a hex editor?

    Enable Debug Options

Note only works with using a sms Bios on the Emulator

Fixed them. Hybrid's code will work without the BIOS if you enable the code and reset the game.

CD8-35E-F79 Enable Debug Options in Main Menu (1 of 3)
008-63E-E62 Enable Debug Options in Main Menu (2 of 3)
00B-0AA-F7A Enable Debug Options in Main Menu (3 of 3)

CD3-78E-F79 Enable Debug Options in Options Menu (1 of 3)
005-75E-C49 Enable Debug Options in Options Menu (2 of 3)
003-A8E-E62 Enable Debug Options in Options Menu (3 of 3)

Yeah, now they work perfect and you can actually reach the debug options in main menu. Thank you as always, terpsfan101

Hybrid, my requests are never to be used on emulators, rather to be played on real hardware. And I do have access to an hex editor, but in these cases what I do is using a code patcher program to have patched ROMs to use alongside the clean ones. In the case of Power Strike II, it's very inconvenient to use the official cheat which makes you reset the game and pause the game ten times basically because my Master System lacks a reset button (it's a Japanese one) so hence why I needed a patched ROM to solve that. terpsfan101 codes are better than yours also, but thanks anyway.

ahh you use an emulator on a cart (flash cart) did you happen to try my code at all? if you are playing on cart it should work. at least with my fusion version it didn't work without the BIOS which is the reason why i had asked, but patching it directly to the rom or having a BIOS running worked. i would try on hardware but i'm not willing to buy the game for $400 just to test the code

Yeah, I tried your code. It also works for me. I don't know about the BIOS issue. You mean the boot screen, right? My Japanese Master System doesn't have a boot screen, it only has a Space Harrier slideshow when you boot the console without any cartridge inserted which must be the BIOS screen in this particular model. But it works like the terpsfan101 codes. The only difference is that your code has the debug options enabled (for example, boss test is set to on and else) while with the terpsfan101 ones they are disabled. A minor difference but nevertheless it's a valid code too.
