Request: Battletoads (Game Boy)

The infinite lives code (007-B0E-F71) is faulty. When you reach to the second stage, the one in which you drive a ship similar to a shoot 'em up, if you die even once, then you keep dying and respawning forever.

Can anyone check this or provide a better infinite lives cheat not giving problems in the whole game?
