FYI, I'm helping him via PM. Hopefully, I can help him with the multiple issues he's having.

Well, I looked at this a lot longer than I would of liked and found no solution.

Indeed, Mez's ips patch doesn't work for the Final Fight CD (USA) dump that couponescc1986 and I are using, which is a valid dump.

The Infinite Health hacks found on another site (not sure if it's safe to post a link to) work, however there is a nasty side effect with the main one, No Damage from street thug attacks (Mostly Infinite Health):

No Damage from street thug attacks: 1 instance (Full Health=112)
        Search: 0000936B00184E756100001E936B0018
        Change: 0000936B00184E756100001E60020018

It makes your weapons do no damage to enemies. It kind of ruins the game not being able to use weapons and being stuck with a weapon that you can't lose because you have Infinite Health. The only way to damage enemies and lose the weapon is by performing special attacks.

I'm in a bit over my head as I know little about Sega CD hacking. So I unless I think of something or someone else does, I don't think I can help couponescc1986 with his request for hard-coded Infinite Health in this game.

          terpsfan, this link may help...

EDIT: I've done several codes using that method, and they usually seem to work pretty good.

couponescc1986, The best solution I could come up with is a patch for Infinite Lives. This will at least allow you to complete and get better at the game. Check your PM for the patch file.

In another thread, you expressed interest in patching other SEGA CD games. At the very least, you are going to have to familiarize yourself with hex editing. WindHex is a very basic hex editor that would probably be good to start out with:

I did try that, lol. I tried loading Infinite/Max Health for P1 at different areas in the ISO where there were at least 3 consecutive NOP's. None of them worked.

Another option you can use instead of NOP's, is hijacking some code from something that's not really that important to game play. I've done it with the clock/timer on a few occasions and it worked rather well since the clock routine is constantly accessed. And as an added benefit (side effect), you will probably have infinite time.

EDIT: Just make sure that you keep the program "flow" correct. In other words, after you add your 3 codes for inf health, make sure the next address is a instruction and not an operand.
