Sega CD question : How do you Burn a Patched ISO

Hi everyone I'm a noob

I have a question how to burn Sega cd games easily

I actually know how to

You simply download the ISO , CUE , BIN

Use IMGBURN

Then write to disk

And insert the .CUE file

Yes that is how you burn a sega CD fast

I need a bit more help with what I'm doing

I went to a site with ISP cheats , codes

And patched them to the desired ISO

The ISO played fine on the PC emulator Fusion ... yes the code worked for example I used final fight CD and I patched the infinite heath code

I then tried to burn the ISO with IMGBURN

I placed the burned disc in the Sega CD player and it read as if it was an audio cd

I'm stuck and need proper and easy guidance

So if I'm understanding you correctly, you're burning an exact duplicate of a Sega CD disc except that one byte has been changed (for the infinite health hack), and your Sega CD console won't play it as a game?

What happens if you were to burn that disc without the infinite health hack? Does your Sega CD console play it correctly?

My guess would be that there might be a checksum involved. Maybe someone else here knows if the Sega CD uses a checksum routine.

truly apperciate you takikg time to reply

well if i use IMGBURN and insert the .Cue file then burn it on disk , it works fine (without the hack ) on my Sega cd console

i was suggested that I can not apply the patch on the .Cue and I would have to apply the patch on the ISO

when i try to burn the ISO patched it plays as an audio file

so how do I turn this ISO patched into a readable Sega cd disk ?

Apply the IPS patch from the post below the original BIN file. Test to see if it works in Fusion. If the game runs and you have infinite health, burn the bin/cue as you normally would. I assume your Final Fight CD is the USA version.

I saw this post on the Sega-16 forums. It may be applicable to the problems you are having. Can you post the contents of your cue sheet?

How are you applying the patch to the ISO?

i am applying the patch with Lunar

i select the patch

then

i select the ISO

and it says patced successfully

I would also like to add

when trying to convert the ISO in CDmage

i cant open the ISO ( M1/2048 *.iso)

is always says

FILE LENGTH DOESNT MATCH SECTOR BOUNDARY

not sure if any way has the solution for that one

so I patched the infinite health to final fight ISO with lunar

i tried it on Fusion and the game and code works

then i wanted to try to burn it on an actual disk

then I was trying to follow this video

i was trying to follow the steps to this YouTube video and got stuck at that point

Open the cue file with a text editor and copy it's contents here.

Also, I didn't have any problems downloading the attachment in the post I linked to earlier. You need to be logged in to download it.

and where do I copy what to where when in text editor ?

you need patch iso / bin file
you need burn cue file with iso /bin file

Right click on the cue file. Hover over the "Open with" selection with your cursor. Click Choose Default Program. Unclick "Always use the selcted program to open this kind of file." Choose either Notepad or WordPad. Click OK. Copy the entire contents of the CUE file and paste it into a post here.
