Which emulator are you using? Sounds like it's emulating Game Genie, but not PAR. Use SNES9x or ZSNES.

Using the FCEUXDSP. Open from http://www.the-interweb.com/serendip...es/9-FCEUXD-SP the 1.06 version.

Open of the Tools>Game Genie Decoder/Encoder for GG codes of letteryness.
Open of the Tools>Cheats... menu for the numbery code.

Use version will help 1.06 in hacking too for codes in debugger.

I've never had any prob inputting GG codes with FCEU. KOG.

Enter a GG code in the 'name' window.

          Click 'Add Game Genie Code'.

Your GG code should now appear in your list of codes, & you can turn it on/off at will, or delete it, same as any other FCEU code.

Here's a little sample for you. Enter PPEOALTO following the above directions. Your heart containers should be green insteada red.

If you're using another emu besides FCEU or Nesten, I can't be of any help.

I believe JNES and NNNesterJ also support PAR-style codes.

Sounds as if he's using something else because many a NES PAR-type code has both letters & numbers.
