  • Request help with Capcom Classics Collection Vol. 1 & Vol. 2 - PS2

I was attempting to hack both volumes of Capcom Classics Collection & put some of the already discovered codes to use.

I've put in the original enable code & even used the standard Enable Code "F0100008 0000000E". I also used the code that allows you to use unencrypted codes. When I use the unencrypted codes for games like Gun Smoke on Volume 1 or Street Fighter & Magic Sword on Volume 2, the games will play as if no codes have been entered & activated. I've even tried using the encrypted codes on Volume 2 & still not having any luck.

Does each game require its own enable code? I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

    Any ideas?

F codetype master code do not on multi elf games

yes required their own 9 codetype master code

Poor Code Twink. They picked a really terrible name. I miss CMGSCCC.

Back in the day they were the top of the line before Gamehacking.org came along. I kind of felt like that many of those site were holding back info on how to hack (& hack properly). It wasn't until I came upon Smacktalks.org when I started taking a interest in learning how to hack. Smacktalks mostly dealt with hacking wrestling games like WWF Smackdown & WWF Smackdown 2: KYR, & the later Smackdown games that came out for the PS2. Of course, there isn't as much material on WWF Smackdown: JBI as Shut Your Mouth or Here Comes the Pain. Its almost like WWF Smackdown: Just Bring It is the bastard child of the Smackdown series.

That & the Sega Dreamcast game WWF Royal Rumble are the only two wrestling games that allowed up to 8 wrestlers in the ring at the same time. You would think in 16 years of Wrestling video gaming & two generations of consoles later, that they would have managed to work their back up to having 8 in the ring at the same time.

So you mean if the game has royal rumble you can't even have 8 players in the ring at once? Do they delay the countdown timer till some people are eliminated then?

From WWE Smackdown Shut Your Mouth, up to the current WWE 2K17 game, when 6 players are in the ring, someone has to get eliminated before the next character comes out. I understand that games & even systems have limitations, but you'd think that if Just Bring It could have go up to 8, that the future PS2 games that followed, Xbox, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, or the PS4 could have done the same thing.

The way I see it, more wrestler in the ring creates more in-game chaos, which produces more match type possibilities, & creates more fun.

I noticed that when you unencrypt the enable codes for Capcom Classics Collection Volume 2, the bottom code is used for the "90" enable code except for 1941. I haven't had any success in getting the cheats to work.

For example: When I use the "90" enable code for Street Fighter (9015B3E0 00832021), & I use the unencrypted Ing Health P1 code (105F08F6 00000B04) nothing works. I've even used the different "90" codes on the other games with their respective codes & am not getting anything that works.

I noticed that with Volume 1, the 4th line of the unencrypted enable code, is similar, but the enable codes aren't identical. They start with "90" & the last digits of the address have on offset of either 1B8 or 1B9 depending on the game. The value generally starts with "0C0". None of these games use the value "00832021" like with Volume 2.

I'm also not sure how go about finding the correct value on a "90" enable code. I didn't see one posted for Final Fight.

I've looked them over numerous times thinking that I might have put in the wrong codes or even the wrong enable code. I would think that I'd at least get one code entered correctly. I was thinking that perhaps the enable codes might be wrong.

So just to make sure that I understand, when the standard 4-line CB7 enable code is unencrypted, the 4th line that starts "90" is the correct "90" enable code to use?

                  For example:

                  Gun Smoke on Volume 1

                  The encrypted Enable Code shows:
                  B4336FA9 4DFEFB79
                  171484D2 CD0D8464
                  81903ECD C7C137CD
                  C9DE67BC 898D2A54

                  When its unencrypted:
                  F0129B51 800813BF
                  000FFFFE 00000060
                  000FFFFF 00000060
                  9013DD60 00832021

The "9013DD60 00832021" code is slightly different from the one I saw you posted for it: "9013DBA8 0C04EC98" (I know this one works because I tested it).

                  Would "9013DD60 00832021" also work?

When its unencrypted, you know, you need to delete the 3 lines
                    F0129B51 800813BF <-- delete, no use
                    000FFFFE 00000060 <-- delete, no use
                    000FFFFF 00000060 <-- delete, no use

That's what I did. I just wanted to make sure I was doing the right thing by using the 4th line only after its been unencrypted.

I have version 8.1. I got a real bargain for it on EBay as part of a multi-game lot.
