I entered in LiquidManZero's code, and I hold down L1+R1+[] on the first level....

....and the game just slows down, then completely freezes up.

I did this with a real console. It's extremely unlikely to ever work right in an emulator, unless somebody at the very least breaks the encryption on the two high end code types.

My PSX is in a landfill somewhere. But I do have a PS2 that I soft modded.

Only the Datel version, that's identical to the final Action Replay CD they did other than the logo. In my testing the Xploder discs do not work at all on a PS2. Same goes for the Gameshark CDX. Of course also, if you've only got a softmodded ps2 you can't swap in psx discs and have them run unless the model is >= to SPCH-50000.

Okay, so I finally got my hands on a Pelican CodeBreaker off of eBay.

I transferred my X-Key to a spare PS1 memory card via DexDrive and tried the code on my old fat PS2.

The game just freezes up. Then after a few minutes some music starts playing, but the game is still frozen.

Did I enter the code in wrong?

My X-Key is included with this post. The code is labeled as "n00d" under Tomb Raider 3 codes.

EDIT: Come to think of it, I can't get any codes to work. Not even regular non-nude codes.

2nd EDIT: Codes listed under “Tomb Raider 3-Adventures of Lara Croft” work. The n00d one I put in there does not.

I have tested this code with an NTSC version of Xploder CD9000 on a real PSX (with the X-Key posted above) and it still does not work.

I am starting to believe that this code is just an elaborate hoax.
