Hi guys,
I didn't know how if the requests page works or not. I submitted a few requests by way of that feature where the codes are posted. After submitting them, I didn't see them listed in the requests section. Do they have to be approved before being added to the list? I know some will request codes for certain games that are just impossible.
I've been mostly messing around with my PS2 & have been rebuilding my game collection for that system. I even managed to reacquire a Codebreaker (Version 8.2). My Version 3.3 just wasn't cutting the mustard. The games that interest me the most are the WWE/WWF Smackdown games. I know that WWE Smackdown: SYM, WWE Smackdown: HCTP, WWE SVR, WWE SVR 2006, & maybe even 2007 have been hacked by a hacker named Trigin & quite a few others. The hacks for those games that I've seen are just mind blowing. These codes are broken down into HEX (or Raw, or unencrypted) format & even the Enable / Master Code, which makes the addresses simplified & easier to read. There have been numerous codes posted by this guy that allows you to take control of the referee, side modifiers (also known as pre-match modifiers), play as non-unlockable characters, & even several other codes that no one would ever think of.
The one game that I haven't had any luck finding extra Codebreaker cheats for was WWF Smackdown: Just Bring It. I used the request link under that game's code section to post some requests, which I haven't found on this site or anywhere else.
On WWF Smackdown: JBI (PS2), I submitted requests for the following:
1. Side Modifiers - This would expand different match possibilities. Since there are up to 8 wrestlers allowed in the ring at the same time, you could potentially have these types of matches:
A. Every man for himself / 8-way match (1 vs 1 vs 1 vs 1 vs 1 vs 1 vs 1 vs 1)
B. An 8-Man Tag / Tornado Team Match (4 vs 4)
C. 1 vs 7 Handicap Match
D. 2 vs 6 Handicap Match
E. 3 vs 5 Handicap Match
F. Fatal 4-Way Tag / Tornado Match (2 vs 2 vs 2 vs 2)
2. Joker or Master Joker Command - This would be effective in being able to turn on or off certain match rules or side modifiers to create different match types without having to reset the game & activate other match type codes.
3. Control Modifiers & Controller Modifiers -
A. Control Modifiers: This would allow a human player to take control of a certain player slot or multiple player slots at the same time if wanted. It could also designate the CPU to control certain player slots also. This would be essential for the code idea posted at #4.
B. Controller Modifiers: This would dictate which player controls which player slot. Similar to Control Modifier, but this one is mostly geared toward the controllers as opposed to Human or CPU control of a character. Also essential for the code idea posted at #4.
4. Play as the referee - As the name suggests, this would allow a player to take control of the ref. In the other games, mostly WWE SVR & WWE SVR 2006, the referee is considered to be a player even though his status bar doesn't appear. The code needed for a player to control the referee would vary, depending on how many wrestlers are in a particular match.
For Example:
A. In a match with 2 wrestlers, the ref would be in the Player 3 slot.
B. In a match with 3 wrestlers, the ref would be in the Player 4 slot.
C. In a match with 4 wrestlers, the ref would be in the Player 5 slot.
D. In a match with 5 wrestlers, the ref would be in the Player 6 slot.
E. In a match with 6 wrestlers, the ref would be in the Player 7 slot.
F. In a match with 7 wrestlers, the ref would be in the Player 8 slot.
G. In a match with 8 wrestlers, the ref would be in the Player 9 slot (which isn't seen).
This would mean you'd need the control modifiers for Players 1 - 9. In a 8 wrestler match, Players 1 - 8 would need to have the CPU set to be controlled by the CPU, The controller in the Player 1 port would need to be set to control the referee in the Player 9 slot, & in addition, the control modifier would need to be set also for the player to control the referee.
Without the controller modifier code, the game might think that there is no controller plugged in & could possibly stop the game from being played until its plugged in. That code makes the game believe a controller is plugged in. If you also have the controller modifier set & don't have the control modifier set, the referee will be controlled by both the CPU & human player.
Again, this is based on what I've experienced with playing as the referee in SVR & SVR 2006. On a comical note, I managed to play as the referee in SVR in a Steel Cage match, climb out of the cage, & actually win the match.
5. Character Modifiers (sometimes called ID Modifiers) - Essentially, this would make a player slot always be a particular character. If there are hidden characters or non-unlockables in this game, this would be a good way to find them.
