I am using epsxe. In order to achieve the good ending, I am supposed to kill the boss "Lezard" in chapter 4. The game automatically places you into his dungeon after a cutscene, and if you leave without completing the dungeon, the boss within disappears forever even if you reenter and kill everything inside. It's basically standard jRPG "screw the player with no warning" shenanigans. I don't have a save point from before this point.
Is it possible to restore the boss somehow, or just "add" in that I beat him into the game file for the purposes of obtaining the ending?
I tried entering a code from here into the cheat section of epsxe:
_L 0x11285F44 0x0000YYYY
YYYY = 0040
I was hoping this would delete the dungeon, and then a second activation would recreate it with possibly the boss returning to the dungeon. However, nothing happened in game when I enabled it on epsxe (It wasn't even destroyed in the first place). It's my first time trying to cheat, so maybe I did it wrong. I followed this video which links it to a savestate.
If no one knows a code, would you link me to where I can start to maybe make the code myself?
