ps2rd with picodrive (Genesis emulator for ps2)

Is possible to use cheats for Picodrive with ps2rd? if so, can anyone explain to me how to? because i try using Game Genie Guy but i get a red screen everytime i boot the games. if anyone knows how to bypass the red screen that's also helpful.

yeah, i now stay away from GGGuy program. anyways Picodrive also has bulit-in Game Genie codes. if you play Cadash, there's Improved Master Code to get rid of Red Screen by Tony Hedstrom-
