Need help with makes cheat codes.

So I'm new here, sorry if this is the wrong place to post this. But anyways could someone help me on how I can make chest codes for roms? I use an Android emulator called My Boy and I play some roms like Zelda, and other games simaler to that. But I would love to make cheat codes for other people and myself. So if someone could teach me that'd be great. Also if we could keep this where I don't have to use a computer I'd really appreciate that.

First you need to find out if the emulator has a cheat search option. It could be called Cheat search, RAM search, or something like that.

You need your device to be rooted and then download GameCIH or GameGuardian which allows you to do ram searches and basically make cheats.

My phone is rooted and I have gg but I'm not sure how to RAM search and change my value on an emulator.

Okay I'm pretty sure I have got it. The letters and numbers on the left of the value (50/463/ect.) Is like the cheat code. So will I need a master code? If so how do I get one?

So I tried it on Zelda The legend of the Minish cap and changed my money to 999 and freezes it. It works so I saved the code but most codes are two lines. And when I tried the code it stayed it isn't a valid code. Where do I get another part of the code to make it work? Also what what about a master code how do I get one of those? And one more thing. How would I make a walk through walls code?

You don't need a master code on emulators.

You don't need a two line code for 999 money.

Check the minish cap code page, you're bound to find compatible cheats.

Walk through walls are advanced codes, I doubt you'll be able to make one without a PC and more robust programs.

Oh okay. Well I still don't get how I would make a "cheat code" because when I try mine it says it's not a cheat code so idk.

That's the value. 03E7 is hex for 999.

00FF is 255
0063 is 99.

Basically, you can enter any number you want. Make sure you don't go over 999 if the game itself doesn't count higher than that.

Okay, so I get the code for 999 and then I get a number to hex converter and that will make my code?

Lee already posted the code. The first part is the address, the second part is the value. That's the full code.

IF you want to modify the amount of money you have, then you modify the value. But that code is already for 999 cash, so modify the value only if you want to have LESS money.

I tried that but it still says cheat is invalid. Idk what I'm doing wrong :/

Well, I haven't used whatever it is you're using, so I don't really know which is the correct format. Maybe try reading the instructions for that program?
