  • Question about SNES FF VI: the Eternal Crystals hack...

In the castle in the island on the upper left of the world map, there's an area to the left of the central passage that leads to the Excalipoor sword, with stairs and a door. Is there any way to reach that area?

COULD try that, Helder. I was trying to beat it without any codes at all, but I just can't find an entrance to the aforementioned area anywhere. Tried everything, pushed on all objects every direction, hit action button similar to opening up the basement stairs, etc.

      THANX 4 the suggestion!

Following your advice, helder, I used the "Walk Thru Walls' codes hacked by Parasyte & entered under the "main codes" in the FF III database. (The others wouldn't work with version 1.1, the FF III rom used with the "Eternal Crystals" hack.) Once I passed into the area I wanted, I DCd the codes so I could thoroughly explore.

Here's a little spoiler, so don't read on if you wanna find out all this game's secrets on your own:

The area mentioned in the OP is nothing but eye candy. The stairs & doors are dead ends!

Reminds me of the stairs with a gap in the flamie cave in Secret of Mana and used the WTW code only to find out it is just there for show and can't be used.

Yeah, my oldest grandson aroused my interest in some of these old games again, and, with a patched hack, it's fun to check out every nook & cranny.
