Prob w/SNES FF III/VI

A friend played FF III with the "Eternal Crystals" hack till he reached the World of ruin ("The Void" on the patched game) and when he tried to progress, by feeding Cid the best fish, he just kept repeating "I..I'm not long for this cruel new world.." and would neither get better nor die, effevtively freezing the game, as Celes was unable to access the raft in the basement. He played with a full set of codes, including those for "best items, all espers, all items" and stats codes for each char, on SNES9X emu.


I played the game myself, using few codes, & ran into the same prob on both ZSNES & SNES9X. Any suggestions besides turning off all codes before the World of Balance explodes?

Please disregard-I found the prob.

It was caused by leaving on a code for "99 pieces of coral" used for Strago to reach the Hidon monster.
