Could someone make a character modifier code?

This game has several chapters (which you can pick Mega Man style) with specific characters. Once you beat all the chapters, you get to pick one last chapter and you can choose any of the heroes from the previous chapters.

However, in one of the chapters there are three characters and only one of them moves on to become the hero of the last chapter. I have two battery saves at the start of the last chapter, each one has one of the characters (Yuan and Lei), but I'm missing the 3rd one (Sammo). I was wondering if anyone could make a character mod code so I can get that 3rd character be the hero for the last chapter.

Yuan is the guy with the purple headwrap and Lei is the only female, she wears red. They are all called Xin Shan Quan though, because they replaced their master at the end of their chapter, which was called like that.
In the database, the energy address for all the characters Yuan, Lei and Sammo is 7E0DC8. Maybe that can provide a starting point?

For the last chapter, a way to modify that character spot with any of the three characters you can assign to it.

Didn't work. Remember, the mod is just for the Xian Shan Quan character, which depending on who you selected on the Chinese chapter, it can be 1 of the 3 characters I mentioned.

Guide, how to find character modifier, first search about HP, example 7E0D0863 change only here 7E0D08?? to 00, that is method work for all characters.
