i was holding down R1 and pressing X and nothing happen

By the looks of it, you didn't get this code directly from this site.

Te complete description reads:
With this code, Press & Hold R1 to activate it, then Press X to Make him Take off. Also, Press & Hold R1, then Press O to make him land.

If you're using an emulator, it might not work at all.
