  • NES Requests for Brian

    Hello, I am new to this site and I was wondering if someone could make some NES pro action replay or game genie codes for me.

    Donkey Kong Jr. (not the classics version), but the black box version:

    * A code for 9 lives
    * A faster single vine climbing code

    Clu Clu Land -- Welcome to the new Clu Clu Land (FDS game), there is a hack out there that converts this game into an *.nes file meaning now it can be played on just about any nes emulator.

    * A code for 9 lives (if that's possible)

    I have tried to make codes myself through FCEUX for these two game(s) for 9 lives. I have got both game(s) to show me "9 lives" in the box where the lives belong and the lives goes down whenever I lose a life; but once the lives go to 3 and I lose a life, it shoots back to 9 again, as apposed of going down to 0 and a "game over" screen.

    I have one more request, is there any possibility of make a code for journey to silius that makes so the enemies drop more red life capsules as apposed to always blue weapon capsules?

    If I asked this question in the wrong place, I apologize - I am still new to this kind of stuff and I want to make a good first impression here amogst friends.

    I don't know what old emulator you've been using, but any NES emu can play FDS games. No need to use a hack.

    There's your problem, why are you even entering a compare value?
    Just enter the address and the value of how many lives you want. Once the counter changes, disable the codes and you'll be left with all the lives you added, but they will decrease once you die. If you want your lives to never decrease, then just keep the code enabled.
    I don't know what emulator you use, but the best one to cheat search is FECUX. It has a great cheat search perfect for beginners.

    As for Clu Clu Land (for the famicom), I cant figure out where the lives counter is in hex, I was hoping someone could assist me find the life counter and help make a code for it.
    If the lives are less than 9, then the numbers will be the same in hex and dec (decimal, regular numbers). Just start a code search, lose a life, make a "less than" search, lose a life, repeat the same process until you find the address.

      Clu Clu Land (Famicom) lives is at 0080.

      Game Genie?
      Start with 9 lives
      PAKKGLIE
      Infinite Lives
      SXUILLVI

      These codes have already been found by multiple people, including Galoob and Brian Johnson. What gives?

        He's talking about the FDS sequel.

            He did say famicom on the visintix thread, but on his original request he said FDS and the name of the sequel.

            My guess is he just used famicom as shorthand for FDS on his subsequent post.

                  The disk system is an add-on for the famicom, so they are different. But I think we are all aware of that.
