You may want to check out PCSX2 and the PCSX2dis addon. The emulator is pretty good these days and pcsx2dis adds a real time disassembler to the regular pcsx2. Just play your ps2 games directly from the disc or rip them to your computer in ISO form. It is easily 100x faster to test codes using this versus using a real ps2.
