      Arrow Flash

Here are some PAR codes for Genesis Arrow Flash (Made with Gens emu)

      Infinite Lives
      FFC069:03

      Infinite Arrow Flashes
      FF3303:0F

      Invincible against most enemies(1)
      FF17D1:02

      Speed Modifier(2)
      FF17C5:XX

      Rapid-Fire Arrow Flashes, regular gun(3)
      FF32CF:04

      (1) Will die if you run into land, most inanimate objects, parts of some bosses
      (2) I've found a value of 0A is plenty fast for me. Experiment to find YOUR fave speed. Too fast & you can't control your ship.
      (3) This code DOESN'T USE UP ARROW FLASHES! However, you must fire one arrow flash the regular way to activate it at the start of the game, or if you die. In the vertical position (The position you start a new life with) the regular gun does nothing while this code is on.

Genesis PAR codes for "Sword Of Vermilion"...

I am off work on strike now(Steel of WV, Huntington, WV) and have a little more free time, so I decided to play that great RPG, "Sword Of Vermilion" on the Gens emu. I noticed the PAR codes I'd submitted months ago wouldn't work too well with Gens, so I decided to make some new, updated codes which, with a little tweaking, should work with a real Genesis/PAR. I now have my Genesis, its carts, & its PAR boxed away in a vault, as they may be precious some day, so I can't test my codes on a real console.

I haven't worked out the Items codes yet, but gimme time. Items, spell books, swords, shields, armor are all in separate formats, so I can't just whup up an all-inclusibe Items list as I've done for Phantasy Star 4. However, the codes I have thus far should make the game a lot less tedious w/o removing the fun of playing it.

Without further ado, here are the codes. I will update in subsequent posts as I hack more codes.

I added these to the site. Except for that all overworld maps code. I don't think you included the code. Unless that Infinite, umlimited kim code is the same code.

                  Sword of Vermilion equipment/items codes

Well, I got lucky & cracked the codes for all the stuff in the game. There are some rather lengthy explanations as to how to use them, so please be patient. Let's call all swords, shields, & armor "equipment" for brevity. I'm gonna give the slot and class codes before I list the specific equipment digits.

Genesis Sword Of Vermilion PAR/Gens codes

                  # 0f equipment slots used(If you intend to get a given number of equipment items with codes, up to 8 items total, make the value whatever number you're gonna get. For example, if you get one sword, one shield, & one suit of armor with codes, make the value 03. Once you have your equipment, DC the codes. You can still pick up additional equipment once the codes are off. You do NOT repeat this code for each item!)
                  FFC484:XX
                  Equipment class, slot 2
                  FFC486:XX
Class values for above codes(Values decimal)
                  04-sword+08-shield+16-armor
                  Equipment item slots, Slot 1
                  FFC485:XX
Equipment item slots, Slot 2(here's an example. Say the only equipment you wished to obtain by code was the Critical Sword. Your codes would be FFC483:01, FFC484:04, FFC485:11. If you wished to also obtain the Carmine shield, your additional codes would be FFC486:08[class code] & FFC487:25[item code], with the value of FFC483[jnumber of slots used] being 02. If you wished to also have the Ultimate armor, along with the sword and shield, you'd make the value of FFC483 to 03, and use FFC488:16 & FFC489:33. See the pattern? The class codes and the item slot codes increase by increments of 2 as you add the codes for the items you want. Use FFC483:XX ONLY ONCE, & turn it & all other equipment codes off, once you have the desired items, which should be immediately after activating them.)
                  FFC487:XX

Number of spell slots used for having spells with codes( This code is similat to the Equipment Slots code. Determine how many spells to have by codes, & enter that number as the value. If you decide to add to or subtract from that number, be sure to change the value of this code accordingly. You enter this code only once, regardless of how many spells you choose to have, up to eight.)

Good work Phil. You should go on strike more often. lol. The union I work for doesn't allow us to strike. :-( Hope you guys get what you're after.

                          Tony.

Thanx, Tony, but it doesn't PAY very well. In WV, the max unemployment compensation is only $391 per week. Luckily my home is paid for & I have only monthly utilities to pay, plus the annual property and sewage taxes. It appears we might possibly be going back to work next week.

                          MEANWHILE, BACK AT THE RANCH......

If anyone has any questions about the Sword Of Vermilion codes, just PM me or ask here. I played the game completely through several times seeking glitches, and found none. As for using them with a real PAR/Genesis, I'd say a little tweaking such as making all of'em 2 bit (FF0000:0000) might work, or altering the 6th digit from the left in the address(FF0000:0000 to FF0001:0000) up or down one digit might work. As I said earlier, I have my Gen/PAR & the game carts in storage & can't test'em on a real machine.

Why keep em in storage? I know people who would love to buy a PAR/Genesis. You should put em up for sale.

Anyway, I got work soon, so if ace don't post these by tommorrow I'll put them up.

I'm saving'em for a rainy day, as they may become worth some serious dinero some day; besides that, I have a toddler grandson as a frequent visitor, and I don't quite trust him with a venerable old console just yet. I believe that Gens & PARs appear quite frequently on Ebay, & I've seen quite a few Gens & game carts in flea mkts. for about $10-$20. PARs are a little more scarce, however. I believe many of them were deep-sixed when someone got a little too rough with the little toggle switch on the side of it & broke it or knocked it loose.

                              MEANWHILE, BACK AT THE RANCH...

I played SOV completely through several times with the codes & found no hitches. However, I DID find some quirks, so here we go.

You can dispense with the "maps" codes by simply starting, by using the appropriate "items' codes, with a Mirror of Atlas, which, when used, gives you every map for the entire overworld and for every cave. However, you MUST speak to the appropriate chars in every town or the items you need from the cave(s) associated with each town won't be there.

To have any equipment, spell books, or items by codes, simply activate them, return to the game, and DC them before you do anything else in the game. If ya leave-em on, you cannot obtain any new objects nor "ready' a spell book for battle.

If you obtain the Sword of Vermilion by codes, it's quite a weak sword. Want the strongest sword otherwise? Get the Critical Sword.

If you use the Attributes codes(HP, MP, Str. etc.) your char will be invincible, able to kill even Archmonsters, except Tsarkon, with one swing. The Terrafissi spell will destroy every onscreen enemy with one use in random battles. Leave those codes on all the time, but use the "experience" code to level-up first.

Nothing I've found worx as well at preventing random battles than using Inaudios with the "Perm. Inaudios" code.(That code worx with the Ruby Brooch, but still lasts only until you enter & emerge from town/cave.) You should leave that code on full-time. Also, remember to cast Inaudios when emerging from any town or cave into the overworld. I'm working on a full-time Inaudios code, but I may or may not be able to find one.
