Remember years ago when Codemasters site and Interacts site used to flame each other? About the time of the Sega dreamcast the two started supporting different devices, codebreaker by Pelican and Gameshark by Interact.
Well, Codemaster wanted to dis Interact and got into the Gameshark and posted at codecreators a view of a dump from Gameshark for Dreamcast.
I remember it well beacuse (probably no one would remember) several months all of this I stumbled upon a trick to get a near complete view of the psx Gamesharkpro. I was too busy to post it then but after I saw CM's work it prompted me to post it.
This is how it is done: You can use any game (actually I don't think you need one). Pick the code list for *ANY* game. Then enable some codes (at least one. You NEED to do this or you won't get the needed option later). Then hit start game. Then choose start game without codes. Then as the screen scrolls away, quickly press in the gamesharkpro button and release. You will get the hacking main menu. Now go to the Ram viewer and "viola" you can see everything.
For some fun do a text search for gavin or gav (sometimes long strings crash it). You will see the easter eggs that are in the GS. You can also see many codes that you deleted (search by game).
Editing Ram will yeild nothing as far as I can tell and I have not been able to do searches of the gameshark. But, it is still pretty cool stuff from someone not (really known as)/(claiming to be) one of the greats.
