I recommend you to replace E2000001 80008000 with E0000000 80008000.
I have experienced that E2000001 80008000 skips a full termination and the cheats listed after a code containing the E2000001 80008000-line weren't working.
Maybe that prevented the master code working properly.

but in consideration to what is said before, if the joker addresses aren't identical it could be probably solved by using another joker address instead.

you can find the joker address easily on your own by doing 16bit-equal-to searches for button values.

Bumping again, any takers to try and hack a joker for the game? I can't do it tbh due to my PC poor performance, I was able to barely get the dumps for lee4.

@rimsky82 LOL but yes I am looking for a moon jump code that works on the first version of Metroid prime (1.00) for GC not sure for what revision of MP were the codes hacked in the DB, but none work.
