Gradius Gaiden better invincibility code

One more request, now for Gradius Gaiden on PSX. The invincible codes on the site work, but i can't pick up powerups for the ship. Anyone could help on this one? Thank you.

I tried changing the values around on the P1 invincible code, and most either did nothing nothing, or made me invincible but blowing up 3 seconds later. I also tried to find a value on the powerup codes for the force field, but nothing.

Questions:

1. Is there a built in invincibility window after being killed and re-spawning normally?
2. Are you able to collect power-ups during said invincibility window (if one exists that is)?
3. Can you post the code in question your using for invincibility?

I'm at work atm, so I am unable to watch any videos of this game or have a look into making a code. I'll see what I can find if I get time tonight.

1- When you die you go back to the nearest checkpoint, you are invincible for brief seconds.

Hi. Here are the invincibility codes I use. They make your ship flash, but you can pick up power-ups and even crash into enemies to kill them.

Gradius Gaiden (J) for Playstation

Invincibility (P1)

I did not hack these, I got them from a Japanese site (DS Cheat Boy, I believe) and unfortunately, the original hacker was not credited. Enjoy.

davintheraven, thank you! Your codes worked on version 1.1 of the game. They don't work on version 1.0.

No problem. I'm assuming 1.1 is the 'Playstation the Best' version. That's what I have.
