  • A very quick request (changed to R-Type 3 SNES)

I didn't see anything listed for Super Mario Bros 2 Japan (Famicom), anyone want to tackle this game and add it to the database? I know there's an ulimited 1-Up trick in the first stage, but you can't pick up too many lives or it's game over, and I always seem to fail around world 7-4 due to finally running out of lives. ;D

        Re: A very quick request

Now I see why there arent any codes for it. The two roms I downloaded wouldnt boot up in my FCEUXD. What rom are you using? gimme some linkage and I can try that one.

You might need the disksys.rom, or I could shoot you the rom I have in IRC one day (or then again emailing works). The one I have doesn't need the disksys.rom I believe because it bypasses the boot disc A/B screen most Famicom Disk System games had.

OK Hiro email sent with FCEUXD, SMB 2 Japan ROM, and disksys.rom, hopefully codes are able to be used on Famicom Disk System games.

I'll change it up slightly since Famicom Disk System games may not be hackable, R-Type 3 invincibility Game Genie cheat is needed, I just got the game through Ebay in the mail today, and that game indeed destroys me.

Re: A very quick request (changed to R-Type 3 SNES)

I did this code just to try something annoying I thought up.

One of the following codes is "Total Invincibility".

Being that I made this code for you, I'd like you to not point out which one it is after you figure it out. It should be easy to tell which ones don't do as the title says.

                    Is it..
                    A:
DD62-2376:Total Invincibility(Just hold A, and you'll be invincible for the rest of the game)

                    B:
                    DD62-33DD:Total Invincibility

                    or

                    C:
                    6D85-BE58:Total Invincibility
This reality is mine. Go hallucinate your own.

I've tested on emulator, home console whenever I hook up the SNES again (unhooked it for now).

                      And thanks again Ugetab.

Well, FDS has to be hackable. We got some FDS games up on the database. But anyhow, heres the code that you requested in chat.

                        R-Type (SMS)
                        Invincibility
                        00CE-D8FF

I wound up having to use the after death invincibility window you are given to come up with the code. So you're gonna have to deal with the flashing your character has. It will probably work on the last level boss too, I dunno. I was unable to get that invincibility code to work, which is why I made the code the way I did.
