  • Crash bandicoot 3: Warped (U) Inf. Relic Time code crashed the game upon activation

Browsing trough the DB of gamehacking I found an infinite Time code for CB3:Warped NTSC-U I copy/pasted it to my POPS DB and upon activating it the game crashes, here is the code for reference:

    D303AE8D 0030
    8003AE8D 0000

(code can be found here and was hacked by VisitntX.

I found a code that works, more or less:

    Freeze Relic Timer
    8004B0B0 1DB3
    8004B0B2 0800
    800076CC 8007
    800076CE 3C01
    800076D0 91E4
    800076D2 8C21
    800076D4 0000
    800076D6 2402
    800076D8 01A4
    800076DA A022
    800076DC 01A8
    800076DE A022
    800076E0 01AC
    800076E2 A022
    800076E4 0008
    800076E6 03E0

It was hacked by Hacc of Crashmania forums if I am not mistaken, the codes works... more or less it crashes my game,I need to swap the 0000 last digit for a 1 otherwise it wouldnt freeze the timer. Also if I hit one of the yellow boxes the effect stops working and instead restores the timer.

Have you tried to contact Hacc? He's in here often and maybe you should PM him.

Thanks for the suggestion, but according to what a friend to told me hacc said something along the lines in the crash mania forums that the code would need to be rehacked because the PSP emulates differently than Epsxe,PCSX-r, etc. turns out I am not the first PSP user to have issues with the code, there were some people that pointed the problem out but nothing ever came out of it.

So I am not sure if Hacc would be willing to retry to hack the code for the PSP emulator.

So are you playing it in the POPS emulator or did they release it again as a PSP game? I've never had any issues with ASM codes in pops and actually use the debugger there to read the assembly instructions and make changes on the fly but who knows this game might be different. Also did you try using different POPS versions? I think there are around 12 or so and each has varying compatibility with certain games.

I was using Original from flash option, game is crashing on 3.71,3.90,4.10,5.0 5.50 I am using rev 4g I am not sure if it's the latest revision of POPSLOADER.

It seems either the firmware is corrupted or I have a different revision.

Even attempting to use 6.60 crashes the game, hmm helder if you still have your PSP at hand, could you upload your POPS files please? Because this is baffling and annoying, I remember POPS working for DW2003.
